Nothing even barely new: the podcastday for me was a disappointment. Besides meeting some people the tracks were by far not as interessting as i hoped. Somehow uninspired, not being hungry to invent new features or new concepts. If we want to see whats really cool we still have to look over to the states.

The conclusion of that day is: A good radio/podcast-programme only depends on how good one is at storytelling. And it is not that media-revolution – it is just plain radio on demand.

Hi there. I jus arrived at medienforum cologne. as far as i can see, there are a lot of somehow strange people around here. i am looking forward to see some really interessting guys and girls, hopefully some bloggers in did not meet yet in the real world. I too am experiencing a significant spam attack during the last days. No problem so far, my akismet spam-filter plugin for wordpress works great.

Tomorrow I’ll be at podcastingday in cologne. And I am looking forward to this with joy, although it means be-at-the-airport-before-six-in-the-morning.

Ich fühle mich natürlich irgendwie geschmeichelt, muss aber noch einiges ergänzen, was im Artikel nicht recht rauskam. Grundsätzlich: Datenschutz ist selbstverständlich ein Thema! Das will ich überhaupt nicht kleinreden oder als unwichtig abstempeln. Es ist sogar ein ausgesprochen wichtiges Thema, wobei meiner Meinung nach nicht nur wichtig ist OB, sondern auch WO, VON WEM und mit mit welcher BERECHTIGUNG Daten gesammelt und gespeichert werden. Und was meine persönlichen Informationen angeht darf ich das ja gottseidank selbst entscheiden bestehe ich darauf die Veröffentlichungen selbst zu entscheiden. Ist das nicht mehr gegeben gibts Ärger. Kritisch wird es vor allem dann, wenn EINER sammelt und man sich nicht davor schützen kann. Wenn dagegen ALLE sammeln ermöglicht das natürlich ganz andere Möglichkeiten, die ich hier mal in selbstironischen Berlin-Slang “guerilla crawler-spamming” nenne ;)

Although there have been different opinions concerning the podcastday at May 24 I’ll be there. Let’s see what’s next. Is there anyone else attending?

Google silently enhanced its web based mapping software Google Maps. They put on new high resolution card material and streetnames and so on. And these information seem to be available for almost whole germany and europe. Fantastic! Though this is not particularly new, i could not resist blogging it.
