I have been to the adc award show on saturday. The art directors club of germany awarded the most important advertising awards in germany. And it was great fun. Free drinks, free currywurst, free conversation.

Recognizable was the gold award for the “wir sind papst” headline of the bild newspaper, gold award for heimat’s hornbach campaign and mirko borsche, who received six awards for his magazine design works.

I came home at about 8 o’clock. Aber hallo.

It has been taken a while but it seems as if riya finally launched its service. You define persons on a random photo and riya scans its database for photos that special person is included also. I found it quite cool a few months ago when I first heard of it, but to that time it was invitation only. Will have to test it.

Tonight amazon.com launched its “simple storage service – S3”

Amazon S3 provides a simple web services interface that can be used to store and retrieve any amount of data, at any time, from anywhere on the web. It gives any developer access to the same highly scalable, reliable, fast, inexpensive data storage infrastructure that Amazon uses to run its own global network of web sites. The service aims to maximize benefits of scale and to pass those benefits on to developers.

Pricing

* Pay only for what you use. There is no minimum fee, and no start-up cost.
* $0.15 per GB-Month of storage used.
* $0.20 per GB of data transferred.

Does anyone see a problem with this? ;)

I just stumbled upon CrazyEgg, an advanced tool for analizing your visitos’s clickstream on your websites. The website is currently in private beta but will move public in mid april. I just signed up to be one of the first testers, hopefully.

I might be an amazing service with a really cool interface. Reading your server stats and logfiles is so unsexy…

YESSS!!!

After waiting for three annoying weeks my new Nokia N70 arrived yesterday. At this point of time and place I cannot answer too detailed questions but after a few moments of playing around I think it’s a blast. UMTS is such an improvement of speed, it’s amazing. Uploading to flickr is so much fun. The camera ist more than fair, especially if it comes to videos.

Cool new toy, let’s see what’s next ;)
