Warum bleibt Frank Ficker frei?!

I admire the Bild-Zeitung so much. Maybe I’m da man to work there somewhen.

Todays story features a guy called Franz Ficker, who eventually is a marriage swindler. This is so funny! Are there really such stupid women that do not hesitate to be carefull with a guy with that name!?! Hahaha

Mobile AJAX

some drafts for mobile web2.0 applications
Seems as if opera is developing a workframe called opera platform to use web2.0 functions on the go. That’d be quite cool. You could easily tag your flickr images, post blog-entries, get email-notifications and newsreader alerts as you get it online.

Bored of your old iPod?

Display scratched? Battery exhausted? Still a monochrome display? Go to ipodupgra.de, give them your old machine and get one new for less money. My calculation: I get 149,- for my old one and would have to spend at least 50 bucks for a new battery. Makes a total more of 120,- EUR for a new iPod video. I’ll get it for christmas ;)

The big fucking web2.0 tagbubble

My collegue Markus Angermeier made a huge tagbubble from the most common web2.0 buzzwords. Coolest feature is the inserted hierachy. Wow

PowerBook

My PowerBook just arrived!

More to come…

Update:
I unpacked the device and it it more beautiful than i could imagine. Currently i am transferring accounts and applications from the iBook to the PowerBook. Needless to say that’s so easy. Right now i am one of the happiest men alive. Besides Francesco G., Mosi-Fucker, featured at BILD-Zeitung.

[Update2]
See the fantastic movie of me unpacking the powerbook here.

Webmonday cologne

For one reason i did not make it there – i’m in berlin, that is. Amazingly more than 70 ppl were at hallmackenreuther, more or less amused by making contacts, discussing the future of the web and having cold drinks. All of them? No. As usual it seems that there has been one Spielverderber who apparently tried to sneak on new concepts for his web busines for nuttin’. Maybe i’m wrong but i think i’m not.

Now there is argument whether webmonday was fair or not, why the presentations have been so bad or not and why there was so little dealing with Web 2.0 (i yet hate this buzzword). Read the discussion here, here and here and watch some fotos here.

If the next webmonday could be be a webfriday, websaturday or websunday i’d be pleased to say: “Cheerio boyz!”

Email kills concentration more than pot

Discover Magazine cites a study where two groups of people took IQ tests: one that was under the influence of marijuana and the other that was interrupted by email messages – and the potheads performed better.email.jpgCertainly, the (BING!) interruption cost of a new email message (BING!) arriving every 10 minutes throughout the day (BING!) while you work is a high one. The solution? Pull the plug. Shut down your email client while you work and open it up only when you need to send a message. Or simply set it to check for new messages only once an hour. It doesn’t matter that right this moment you’ve got mail. You’ve also got something else more important to do than buy Cialis online.E-Mail Making You Crazy? [Discover via 43 Folders]

iBook vs. PowerBook

I recently ordered a PowerBook 12″ and am currently selling my iBook 14″ via ebay. If are only half into apple gadgets as I am do not hesitate to buy it there. Maybe we could talk about pricings ;)

PS: My shoes did not arrive yet. I’m getting impatient. I’m getting impatient also with amazon. But more on that topic tomorrow.
